What are Small Groups?
Small groups are important to the foundation of the ministry and mission of Our Savior Lutheran Church. Small groups are groups of 6-12 people who meet weekly/bi-weekly generally in the homes of group members. Our Small Groups connect people to Christ’s church by bringing God’s Word into daily living, serving the church and community and sharing the love of Christ.

Why are Small Groups important?
Life revolves around relationships, the most important one being a personal relationship with our heavenly Father through his son, Jesus Christ. It is sometimes hard to form relationships and come into community with other church members if your only connection is sitting together in the same row during the weekly worship service. Small groups offer a Christian community where everyone is cared for. Small groups promote unity, a sense of belonging to one another and a place to bless, grow, serve and challenge one another using each person’s spiritual gifts.

There are Small Groups for all ages and interests. Open your life and heart to the blessings and community that a Small Group can offer.

How do I join a Small Group?
  1. Browse the Small Group listing below and find a group that meets your needs and interests.
  2. Email the Small Group leader and ask a few questions about the group and study topic.
  3. Pick a Small Group and attend a meeting. If you feel nervous at first, don’t worry, most people do. Remember that Small Groups are always happy to welcome visitors and new members.

Can I “Build My own” Small Group?
We recognize that you may have a group that wishes to study a topic or meet at a time not offered by an existing group. Our Small Group ministry team can work with you to design a “custom” Small Group. Contact Jeff Zoellick at 630-483-3143 x224 or jzoellick@oursavior.com for more information.
